Spring Time - Time for New Lawn Tractor?

Or new homeowner, looking to buy a new machine to mow the lawn and other chores.

Since it's spring time, a lot of people are at Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, Tractor Supply or a dealer looking at new machines to mow their lawn. Or maybe, you're a new home owner who needs a machine to mow the lawn, and perhaps do double duty in snow removal. I think the following article is appropriate, especially this time of the year with new home owners and first time buyers seeking new tractors, or needing a replacement for that cheap Craftsman you bought 2 years ago. Here is an explanation of what to look for:

Maybe I need to write an article to show case buying tips, as sort of a buyer's guide. Hmm, maybe......

    I think a buyer's guide would be a good idea, T-Mo!

    Buyer's Guide - first draft

I started a rough draft of the buyer's guide. I know it's rough and I missed a lot of things, but it was a quickie. Maybe you all can read it and comment on it and I can improve it considerably with your all feedbacks. Thanks.

I like when you mentioned the "deck wash thingy" ! On a more serious note, I didn't see any mention of an hr meter. I know that I recently read that they aren't very accurate. I don't know how true that is but I tend to check the amount of hrs on used machines.

Good point on the hour meter. Maybe a paragraph or two on used machines may be in order.

Should this threat also include advise for walk behind type mowers? Now that I have a rather big tractor with a mower, I can't get to all the spots I have grass growing (under trees or tight quarters). I would need a walk behind or push type mower. I am not sure what to buy, a very cheap one, a more expensive one, one that is self propelled (how is that version when one has to pull it back a lot?). Any advise and buyers guidance for these mowers would certainly be very helpful.
