I was just looking at these earler today! That MSRP is just the cab, heat, lights and mirrors are more. Plus they dont offer the A/C for this cab like they do on some of their others. I asked a JD salesman one time before I bought my 1026 why JD did not offer a factory cab for it, his anwser was they did not think customers would buy a 7000.00 cab on a SCUT. If a factory cab would have been avalible when I bought mine, I would have it.

Boy, for a new model tractor it certainly didn't take long for the aftermarket to kick in. That's a good thing!

I wish Deere would offer the 1026R over here in North America with the Factory hard side cab( simular to the 3000 series cab) that is offered in Europe! I would be trading for a 1026R for sure if I could get the factory cab on the 1026R over here in North America! Wonder why Deere does not allow the 1026R to be ordered with a Factory cab in North America?

It would be nice to have a cab for snowblowing, but other than that I'd rather not have a cab. I went with the 1026 because its small, a cab would limit where it would fit, then you may as well have a bigger tractor.

It wasnt that long ago that most farm tractors didnt have cabs, we are getting soft.

Speak for yourself, I've been there for sometime now. Hell, I used to shovel dirt, snow and use a reel type push mower. I am all about new STUFF.

    Looks like a great product!

Wow, those look pretty sweet! While I will agree with some of you that maybe we are getting a bit too "spoiled" with all of these accessories, I think there definitely have been some pretty awesome add-on's available for John Deere tractors.

As a dealer, we get asked a lot about tractor cabs, including customers curious if they are truly beneficial and worth the $$$ or not. Although this answer to this is different for each customer, there always seems to be a lot more positives than negatives.

I would agree that those cabs are probably best suited in the winter months when any extra protection from the elements is rewarding, but having the ability to stay dry while working outside in the spring and summer can be just as beneficial!

As far as price is concerned, the ability to add a cab like that for that type of price on a 1026r or 1023e can be well worth the $$$ considering the investment being made in the tractor themselves. Everyone always likes buying some extra toys that they can use right away!

Has anyone on here purchased one of these cabs for either a 1000series or any other John Deere tractor?? We would love to know how well they work! We are always looking to expand our business and have been wanting to offer more 3-pt accessories and tractor add-on's to best serve our customers!

Anxious to see one of these bad-boys in person though, they look pretty neat!

Tektite and JoDale Perry are competitors that build cabs in Winkler/Morden Manitoba. I live one hours drive away in Winnipeg Manitoba. I've seen both vendors products. In fact IIUC the designer at Tektite used to work at JoDale. Both offer excellent well built cabs. I have met the folks at Tektite and visited their plant. It is a small business operation turning out great cabs. They build to order so be prepared for long order delays especially this time of year. Once you option up it is easy to >$5,000. The 2000 series >$6000. Today in Winnipeg, windchill has us at -26 Celcius. Cabs sell really good here.
