    New (to me) Deere 2030

I purchased this 2030 to use at our property in Pennsylvania. New Firestone SAT rears will be added later this week. Along with our Ford 3000, my son and I can really speed up our brush hogging chores.

I'm a much bigger fan of the older 2-cylinders (), but I'll admit that the new-gen Deere's look really good with those super wide, high-flotation tires. If it wasn't for the minor pitting on the exhaust manifold, I'd guess that I was looking at a brand new machine. Congratulations!

I'm not really sure how many hours were on the clock but the gentleman who sold it did a complete rebuild or replacement of every component. He showed me the original tach which looked like 4000+ hours.

Frankly, I bought the tractor partly due to how well it runs but mostly because of the seller's skills and capabilities. It's as close to brand new as you'd ever find a tractor from 1974. His wife showed me a scrap book of his past restorations and I was blown away.
