My 2010 grinds when you put it in gear. Is there a way to adjust something so it doesn't do this? It works fine once you grind your way into gear.

Actually due to design by engineers there is only 1 method to eliminate grinding when engaging pto which is don't engage it. As one engages pto clutch one also shifts the engagement collar(key 22) on pto shaft(key 5) hence the grinding. Notice how complicated the pto shift linkage is.

Another reason that the 2010 was referred to as the "green Farmall", which is probably complimentary when compared to most other names for the 2010's.

I was 13 when they came out. I remember my Dad complaining about the problems with them. The John Deere Area Service Manager spent a lot of time at my Dad's dealership helping to make customers at least semi-happy.
