    Model Number and Year HELP!!

I am trying to figure out what the model number and year are for this tractor. Seems like a simple thing. But, here is what I've found and I can't find any information about it. I want to be able to order compatible parts and need to know more about it.
The plate on the rear says Type: T813R and Serial: 001060R. I've searched both of these and can't find a thing. The transmission is stamped with R41240.
    Pics attached.

    Thanks!

There are dozens of sites that list the Type T813R as belonging to the 4520, 4620 and 4670 machines from the late 1960s to early 1970s.

Just as an FYI as well, if you go to JDParts.com, that "R41240" you mentioned is listed under the Deere 4520.

The description for Part # AR43563 reads "Transmission Case (MARKED R41240)..."

That is the only machine that comes up under (i.e. It doesn't come up for the 4620 or 4670...)

I agree with Jim in that tractor in question is a model 4520

That would be a 1969 model year. They only made them 1969 and 1970.

Thanks so much for everyone's help. I really appreciate it. For some reason, I did not run across the right information to lead me to a 4520 and the right year.
    You guys are awesome!!

I'm looking for the battery 'trays' if anyone knows where to locate a couple of them. My apologies as I haven't searched JD Parts yet, per the previous post. But, thought I'd ask while I'm at it.

    Cheers!!

I thought it was odd RH rear axle appears to be so much shorter than LH rear axle.

    Battery boxes from JD
    AR40673 BATTERY BOX, BOX,BATTERY,ASSEMBLY R ADD 110.00 USD
AR43141 BOX BATTERY ASSEMBLY LH ADD 132.40 USD
    Battery box from A&I
A-AR40673 BATTERY BOX, RH - 80.89 USD LH box wasn't listed

I have to laugh! I bet the left & right battery boxes use the same sheared blank and all the same component parts, same routing and run times over the same spot welders, press brakes, and punch presses and one is 20% higher priced than the other!

A&I probably uses a supplier with a laser or CNC turret punch press and CNC press brake.

Volume makes a world of difference in price on stampings and fabrications when comparing the old fashioned way with hard tooling and dedicated bending dies used for higher volume production. Today's CNC tools/machines are much cheaper on short runs.

Deere used to make that stuff for production and the first couple years for service parts but about 20 years ago started farming that stuff all out. They shipped semi-truck loads of tooling to various shops. I imagine those tools have all been scrapped now and CNC machines make them all.
