500A / 3020 Seat Cable Where does it go ?

I have a 1968 500A Backhoe. Basically a 3020 industrial. The seat was rotted off when I got it.
I got a new black seat, and armrest for it. So I decided to take the suspension support off.
It was rusted shut, and would not move. I see the cable on the clock spring rotted off.
Where does the other end of this cable attach ??
Any help is greatly appreciated !
    Thank you.

There is a hook on the underside of part #1 in diagram. You need to connect the cable and then wind up the spring to enough tension that it will pull the seat up when you release the latch. It makes it nice to get on and off the seat to easily slide the seat all the way back.
