    Fronthoe Bucket

We've got another new attachment for our pallet fork frames. This one is a Fronthoe Bucket. It's a great alternative to a $7000+ backhoe. This bucket was originally conceived for digging surgical holes for planting trees and plants, but it is right at home plunging into a pile of boulders or scraping through surface growth. It's great for popping out frost heaved stones and small roots and stumps. Use this to quickly excavate around a large stump to expose the roots.

It can also be quickly flipped upside down on the pallet fork frame for backfilling, scraping, ending a trench, etc.

The uses are limited only by the imagination.

These will work on any Artillian pallet fork frame built after 2010. They can be used on our 2300Lb frames, but for really aggressive use or on larger tractors (i.e. 3000 & 4000 series), we recommend our 3000Lb pallet fork frames. (which are only a few pounds heavier than the 2300Lb frames!!)

They're available for preorder on our website now. Artillian Tractor Attachments

Images and video to come soon.

Ordered mine. Do I get SN-0001?

With shipping, roughly double what the Paumco Spade from Northern Tool costs. But, I think the difference will be well worth it. As pointed out in another thread, the "spade" puts a lot of stress on the forks. This takes this out of the equation.

Once I get it and use it, I'll post up a review of some sort.

    Get 'er here quick, Chris!!

This afternoon, we used it to dig a hole in some really bony dirt, transplant a small tree ( been trying to figure out how to get at that one for years), beat it up in pile of boulders, and then drop some mulch right between a couple of plants, at the request of Artillian2. About 30 minutes or so all together.

    Will share some footage soon.

Seems you would have more breakout power with this vs a BH??

Looking forward to some video. My only concern is digging depth - I guess the depth will be constrained by the fork frame itself.

We have been slowly transplanting small 2'-3' evergreen trees which is just about impossible for us - I'm sure the Fronthoe will work great for that. But I also would like to see how deep I could dig a ditch with it.

This sure answers my questions on using/abusing the forks to dig holes. This unit should dig exactly what I am looking to dig, mostly holes for trees and plants. How is it with tree roots? I am not sure it would replace the backhoe, but I see it as a very useful addition to my artillian system. The attention to detail and the well thought out functionality of the artillian grapple make this a no brainer, placed my preorder.

I agree with others that want to read a few reviews and watch a video before committing. I'd love the $20 discount which would help pay for shipping, but retirement are tough to come by . . . . maybe you'd extend the discount into August, after a few reviews and video are available? I have a trench to dig for a drain line along a new building pad. I usually use my box scraper but this is another, possible better option.
