    Barn Thread

So it was suggested that we needed a thread to share pics of barns. So here goes.

These are some of my favorites around the local area.

    This was my grandfathers.

This one is my great uncles.

The dip in the ridge was caused by a cannon shell during the civil war.

The Round Barn in Cashtown PA.

And the Star Barn which has since been moved and is being rebuilt.

I passed the star barn quite a few times and always thought it looked more like a church than a barn.

I'll have to find some more pictures of it, but here is one of my Grandfather's barn. This was after he passed away and the new owners put the metal roof on it. I always remember it having green shingles. The attached white building was the milk house.

A barn I drove by yesterday. Owned by an Amish family. Found it today that it is all post and beam. I need to get inside of it. But then I’ll really get the wants.

This one of the barns out at our family farm. The center of it is old hand hewn logs and we redid the lean-to's and siding many years ago now.

So in another thread we got to talking about Barnwood Builders. I’ve watch a few of the shows and think it’s neat what they do.
Looked at their website and saw a 32’ X 51’ barn frame for sale.

    https://www.barnwoodliving.com/antique-structures/

59K. Which really might not be all that bad. Gives me some ideas.
