The doors above the porch look great! Highlighting the cross bucks will really set it off.

Installed HVAC ducts, lights, fans, and working on finishing inside. Lots of slow detailed work.

Thanks. We're either going to do a wood floor or stamped concrete. A friend of mine just had a stamped concrete one (with dye) done that looks real nice.

I would go with the stamped concrete. It is very low mantaince and looks good.

Got the kitchen area cabinets in now and also had a service install the air conditioning. Now it will be awhile waiting for the water line to be run in, countertops, and hardware to arrive. Countertop order has a 21 day delivery. The countertops in the photo were just testers to fit things up. Still lots left to do!

    Update

Hello I just wanted to give you an update and let you know we have not fallen off the face of the earth. Very little has happened since my last post, principally due to more reliance now as the project completes on contractors and they are hard to get in this booming economy. Up until this point, with the exception of the HVAC system and septic installation, we have done the work ourselves with the help of friends. Some of the work we have left includes doing the interior plumbing, installing some fancy tiling work, pouring and stamping a concrete floor for the porch floor, and painting/staining the exterior would be best done by a pro because I either lack the skill/confidence in doing a great job, or am not as physically capable as I once was (in the case of painting staining). Plumbers, electricians, painters, carpenters, and pretty much any trade in our area are in short supply, particularly if they have a good reputation. So despite our lightning fast start...we are in for a sllllllooooowwww finish but I hope to get some of this going soon.
