    Versatube metal garage kits

Has anyone here had any experience with Versatube garage kits. Looking like a metal 2 car garage is all I'll be able to put up for my SCUT in the forseeable future and was wondering about this Manufacturer's product and customer service. Product wise most concerned about snow load. Any opinions welcome

Gonna follow. I been looking into carport garages for my tractor. They are just to cheap. I think like $3000 they will come install a 12x21 with a garage door and a single door. Going like 18x21 is only a few hundred bucks more.

Yeah I'm thinking 24 x 24 x 12 with 9x9 door. They claim to figure in snow load just not sure if they have any idea how much snow we get up here

I havenít see that particular garage, but I know a few people who bought tent garages, and when the tarps tore they just installed metal roofing over the frame. They are about 10 years old now and still going.

That was my first thought - snow load. There is a reason you donít see carports around here....

If you are going in that direction you should do your own snow load calculation and be sure they can meet it.

i have a few that came with some land i bought....roof only types....they have held up well did lose one that wasnt tied down good to wind several years back..

you should have a stated design code snow load for your area and they should design to it and provide engineered sealed proof of such (most cities will require the sealed letter or drawings stating such) .....i am aware they do produce structures that are not engineered sealed to a specific code so if your concerned or your jurisdiction requires it i am pretty sure its a addtional fee for the building to be sealed

as well as snow ...i would make sure i was fully informed about wind loads (lateral and uplift) and how it will be attached to the ground to resist those loads
