    John Deere No1 6' Crimper

Could anyone put me in touch with someone who owns or has access to a John Deere No1 6' crimper.
    Thank You.

Would like to know the number of teeth on the driven sprocket (attached to the roller). Thank You.

According to PC0902, the sprocket on the front roll is 30 teeth. It lists two different parts, one keyed and one splined.

Keyed: AZ3753H Up to serial number 14000
Splined: AH12105 serial number 14000 and up

That particular machine was a big deal and very popular here in dairy country when it came out in the late fifties.

    Thanks for your reply.
From other info that I have obtained, have calculated that the smaller or lower roller would run at approximately 637 RPM (PTO@ 540 RPM).
    Does this figure sound right.

I'm a lot better at finding part numbers for old equipment than I am at figuring speeds. I was much better at it 50 years ago. But let me see when I get home tonight.
