    Bale watch monitor

Hello, I bought a '98 JD 556 round baler. It has a bale watch monitor with a seperate box to manually electric tie. I am having trouble with the wiring for the manual box. One cable goes to the baler, one to the monitor. On the cable to the monitor it "T's" with another pair of wires with flat connectors on the end. My question is what does the cable that "T's" off go to? The battery? The baler has a trailer connector that connects to the rear of the tractor and the flashers work. Does the monitor get power from the trailer type connectors or the other one that I do not know where it goes? Thanks any and all help.
