John Deere 110TLB to be Discontinued

Strong rumor says it's on the chopping block. Low sales and the new Tier IV emmisions regulations are the root cause. No replacement announced either.

I have quite a few hours in one, it's a great machine IMHO-sad to see it go. I guess Kubota will take the sales with the L39's and L45's.

Sad to hear I was a huge fan of that machine from a mechanical perspective.
I can see the lack of demand...The market for that size equipment as a whole really took a beating with the current economic downturn...
As for the emissions, that suprises me...I thought the 4TNV88 was/has at the very least an Interim Tier4 compatible version:

That engine is used in alot of applications, I'd be VERY Surpised if Yanmar doesnt make it full fledged Tier 4.

This might be a good option if you don't want orange (I hear the L39 is history also BTW)

I really like mine and have been busy riding it the last few days. The 110 is a very capable compact tractor that doesn't seem to get the credit it deserves. AKfish pointed out something I hadn't noticed, the front axle knuckles are larger on the 110 than the 4x20 series. I went out to look and compare and found this to be true.

I think the cost is over the budget that most people would spend on a compact and construction industries are having a hard time which is obvious so I would assert that Deere sales of the 110 must be slow.

Very capable little tractor though heres pictures of my latest job at home. Moved about 240 yards of fill with the fel to build my pad for the new shop building.

I think you might be onto something...But overall I dont think the cost inst TOO out of line. Its not that much more expensive then a similar 4x20 decked out... I think I've said this before but From a Spec & feature point I WANTED the 110, when shopping I test drove one and loved it...but just couldnt get over the very utilatarian/sparse operator station, No cab, and I couldnt get it less the hoe, not being green didnt help either, but that coulda been fixed.

Figures, I bought mine last July. Only have about 70 hours on it, but I love it so far. It seemed like it was a superior unit compared to other colors.

The whole compact TLB concept is gone, gone? Or just the current 110 version? There were many things that I liked about them. They just seemed more polished than the Kubota in some ways.

As an aside, I'd love to see a major manufacturer come up with a replacement for the industrial tractor loaders like the Deere 401, or the numerous Ford versions.

It is just a guess, but I suspect the whole compact TLB concept is gone-at least until the country/economy improves.

    110 tlb

There will be no replacement for the 110.
Deere is now out of this market segment.
