    500 Back hoe bucket info

Hey can anyone tell me if a bucket off a 500 will fit my 401C ?

I found a guy that says he has a 24" bucket for a JD500.and that he thinks it will fit. he lives a distance from me and would like to have an idea if it will fit before I go.
the guy says he has no photos, and didn't know how to post them anyway.

    Thanks!

I just tried looking in JDParts, but there is 3 or 4 different "500" models, A-B-C ect and they all look a bit different. None give pin spacing or other info you'd need to verify. You might try calling a JD dealer, one that deals with construction equipment not the AG stuff.

I wouldnt bet on it, not without significant modifications at least. The ol 500's were industrial 3010/3020's with a hoe made for that. I think most were like a 262 model hoe.

Buckets for a 401c should be a lot easier to find. which sucks cause i need a good bucket for my 500, ill trade ya 401 style haha
