    D series CTL engine hatch key lock...

    Hey guys first post here going to be a weird question....l
    The key lock on my engine compartment hatch is broken on my 329D
    I can not open! Any ideas or remedies before I start tearing things up? THanks in advance

    can you slide a feeler in the crack (dont say anything, gizmo) between the door and other paneling and slide the lock open?

    It was a ding dong move on my part...
    The side panel was pressing on the engine hatch causing the whole lock mechanism to be bound.
    Some friendly persuasion and WALA...lock still works.
