I'm game for however works best for everyone, just want to know what is needed from me. Y'all know that I am the tech challenged blonde, so help me a little.

I've got to do the "see and be seen" thing for work on Sunday afternoon, so was hoping to get my brain working before then. I've also got a couple more recipes to share, once I know how and what. With my typing skills, I don't want to have to type them twice!

    Thanks y'all!
I'll create you your 'locked and stuck' GTT cookbook thread. You can send me either a link to a post for a recipe, send a recipe in a PM, or my least favorite, in an email. (The email may not copy and paste as easy as the other options.) I can then add the recipes as you want to the thread. And not just Farmgirl19 has to be the sender, nor does it have to be me to moderate the cookbook thread, but I'll volunteer to handle the bulk end of it from a mod/admin point of view.

    How does that work?

So then my next question is:

Can this be broken down into different sections, such as "Appetizers, Main Course, Soups, Salads, Desserts", etc.? I was sort of hoping this would be a bit organized. Will each recipe at least have its own easy access title, so that one can easily find the recipe they may want to look up or try?

I like the idea, just don't know enough to know how it would work as an "organized" cookbook. Of course, if no one else cares if it is organized or not, I guess that means I am the one being persnickety.

Hmmm. That presents itself as a bigger challenge.

One way around this is to have it as an attachable file like a PDF. Anytime it has enough updates then it can be replaced in the original thread as a new attachment. This would require somebody building and maintaining this file.

Okay, this is kind of what I meant with my suggestion above. In this case we won't lock this thread, but assume I started a new thread, titled it "GTT Cookbook", and made the following post:

    >>>The Official GTT Cookbook Thread<<<
If you post a new recipe, let the moderator of this thread know, and he/she will add a link to your post under the proper category.

    BREAKFAST
    http://www.greentractortalk.com/foru...ke-recipe.html

    MAIN COURSES
    http://www.greentractortalk.com/foru...e-burgers.html

    APPETIZERS

    SIDE DISHES
    http://www.greentractortalk.com/foru...een-beans.html

    DESSERTS
    http://www.greentractortalk.com/foru...iday-cake.html
    http://www.greentractortalk.com/foru...t-brittle.html

    BEVERAGES AND DRINKS

^^Then the above sample thread would be locked so only links to recipes were posted in it, and comments were put in the original linked threads so as not to clutter the "cookbook" thread.

I don't know, it may be a giant pain in the behind to do. It was just something I tossed out there. Maybe a photo of the item could also be in the "cookbook" next to the item link. You know, anything to make it as complicated as possible.

Excellent idea Andy. I'm on board if this is what y'all want to do.

    I'll make it happen.

I'm guessing since FG liked Andy's post, that's how you guys want this to happen. So I'll create the cookbook thread right now. When you have a recipe you want posted, send me a link to the thread along with a post number and category you want the recipe under.

I complied all of your recipes in the 'Cooking with Farmgirl' thread into the cookbook as a start.

I got to find something to chew on. I'm hungry now.
