    I got a new ice cream maker. We were having a hard time getting through a bigger batch, so I got this one. Not dealing with salt and ice is nice. You just put the bowl in the freezer.

    If we're having a group of people over, I still get out the ol standby.

    I might have to look into making some homemade ice cream soon!! All those batches looked good!


    Looking at the video that J-3 linked to reminded me.... I used to work with a guy whose dad worked for Shopsmith. The dad rigged the Shopsmith power head up to an ice cream maker and used a soft nail as a shear pin. When the nail bent/busted, the ice cream was ready!
