    JD Parts

Here is some information about John Deere's online parts system "JDParts".

I added the following from T-Mo and the "how to use jdparts.pdf" attachment. Thank you T-Mo.

I would have put this in the proper section, but I guess I don't have write privileges there. This is a tutorial on how to use JD Parts, including how to check inventory, get part specifications, etc. It was originally created by a guy named Matt over on wfm, and I copied and pasted it into a word document, updated it since JD Parts went through an update since Matt first posted it and then converted it into a pdf. I hope it helps someone here.

    Model Number Cross Referencing

    Thanks to JimR.

    4. Enter Catalog No. "2797".
    5. Use the "Alphabetical Index" to locate the attachment type you are looking for (For example "S" for "Snowblower".

That will give you a cross reference listing of JD Model numbers to the equipment it fits. And you can manually scan it for your tractor and then see which model number attachment fits your machine.

    The obsolescence of JDPC

Here is an update thanks to our member JDforester.

The online John Deere Parts Catalog is being phased out over the next year and replaced with Parts ADVISOR™ Which should be fully implemented by Q1 2017.

This new application will be the single parts information delivery tool for Ag, Turf, Construction & Forestry dealers, John Deere Power Systems distributors and end-use customers worldwide

The consumer site is: https://partsadvisor.deere.com/ or https://partsadvisormobile.deere.com/app/search

I would test out your access to it prior to making a post. I log in as a dealer, so I don't see what the consumer version looks like. The look and feel of Parts ADVISOR will be the same but the functionality will be different. Customers will see a limited view of the application

I've been using it on mobile and desktop for several weeks now. I find it is an improvement over JDPC. That said, I don't usually use the online parts catalog as dealers don't use JDPC, we have a special Parts Manager Program designed by snap-on for Deere which is also being sunset and everyone will be using Parts ADVISOR.
