    Need new photo hosting site

Sometime in the last week photobucket made a major change. Every photo that I had posted is now gone unless I want to pay big $ to them. Does anyone have a site that they recommend? I've got to start looking through every computer that we've got and see if I can find all the photos and get them hosted somewhere. Then go through all my posts and try to figure out which photo was there. I hate to lose these. I always tried to post good pic's of whatever repair or project I was working on just as so many others here do. I've found the pic's posted by others to be very helpful when tackling something I'm not familiar with just as I hoped mine would be useful to others.

This will have a HUGE impact on many forums, not just GTT. This is just one reason we encourage members to upload the pictures directly to GTT rather than use remote hosting-that way they get archived with the post.

I have no advice for you, but sadly with the edit timer (12 hours) we have in place you will not be able to repair any old posts with broken links.

As Norvic Philatelics discovered, Photobucket changed its terms and conditions and removed the 3rd Party Hosting feature from the lower subscription tiers. If you want to continue using that feature then a Photobucket Plus 500 subscription is required. It costs $39.99 per month or $399 per year.
Photobucket changes policy, locks embedding images behind highest-tier paywall - NeoGAF

Oh boy, they are really proud of their service.

Anyway, fwiw, I use Google photos.

Like Kenny said, upload here directly to GTT when you can. Those pics will never go away.

If you must use a third party host site, I would use Google. It's free and easy. I think Dropbox also offers this service.

What's wrong? This photo is from Photobucket.
Quickly reading its free if you have under 2gigs worth of pictures.

If that's it maybe go take all your photos out that you know are Not on online forums and save them to a computer or on another hosting site.

This photo is 2009 when it snowed in LOUISIANA. It never snows here. 2-3 times in 20 years.
This photo is hosted from photo bucket. I don't pay anything. So let's see if it disappears.

    Hey guys,

It is recommend that you upload the images to this site, that way you know your images are safe. If you do want to use a image hosting site, other hosting sites that users recommend are Postimage.org — free image hosting / image upload , TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting , flickr.com and Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet. These are all free to use.

That sucks to hear that Eastcreek. This is one of the reasons I don't have a hard-on for the cloud; though I do use it as part of my backup strategy.

Google used to have Picasa Web Albums that I liked very much because it was simple and it worked; but they dumped it in favor of whatever half baked product du jour they currently offer to compete with Facebook.

Google photos is awesome. I've got over 360 GB of photos stored in it.
