    Posting images and editing posts

I used to be able to post images directly by uploading from my computer. Now the dialog comes up, I browse to the picture file, click the "upload" link and nothing happens. The only way I can upload pictures is to upload them to a sharing site; use the URL tab on the dialog and leave the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" option checked. And getting them from a URL on my computer doesn't work (I have IIS installed and enabled). The dialog doesn't like any URL that isn't of the form "host.domain.domaintype". It pops up a message box that says "bad URL", even though I can browse to it with no problem.

Secondly, if I try to edit one of my posts, the "Save" button is gone.

    Are these known problems?

No issue here. What are you using for a computer and what browser are you using. We need a little more info so we can help you. I use Win10 and Firefox for a browser.

Can't think of any reason that would not work. Try downloading Firefox browser from www.getfirefox.com and try it. Clearing the cache in your current browser might also work.

Been there. Compatibility mode makes no difference.

I guess I'll try with Chrome if I can remember my password. But I would really prefer IE11.

FWIW, Windows updates were installed on my computer including some changes to IE11. After several reboots as part of the process, the upload image functionality is restored.

EDIT: and the edit post save button is back.
