    Tractor model forum locations.

So I think, and i could be wrong, but i believe a few JD models are out of place, concerning what forum they belong in.
The John Deere 855 and 955 are both listed in the 'LCUT' forum. However, both of these machines are smaller (not so much HP wise but physical size) than an 870 which is listed in the 'MCUT' forum. I feel like the 870 would get more traffic and attention, if it was in the same forum with 970's/1070's, of which it shares alot of commonalities with, more so than the other machines that are in the 'MCUT' forum.

    What say ye?

Edit; Just noticed that 970 is actually listed twice in the 'LCUT' forum header. Perhaps one of those is supposed to be 870?
If that it is the case. Mods, could someone move the handful of active 870 topics in 'MCUT', into the 'LCUT' forum?

    SRG,
Thanks for your input. When we built these forums many, many years ago we struggled with where to put everything and finding out all the different model numbers JD has used, heck we've (the staff) have never even seen half of them and we just used info from tractordata or other sources to make semi-educated guess's on some of them.

I'll be happy to make some changes as time allows, but I doubt "the 870 would get more traffic and attention, if it was in the same forum with 970's/1070's" as you wrote, most newer users don't even read those descriptions, we move multiple post's everyday to different forums to correct that in a feeble attempt to keep things organized.

    ^^^^^ What he said. ^^^^^^

I spend the vast majority of my time here moving stuff around and editing titles to be spelled right or add descriptors so they can easily be found by future searches. Keeping this place organized is a big deal.

Doesn't leave a lot of time to polish the ban hammer, does it?

Thanks to all of you guys for taking care of this forum. I think all of us appreciate, although I won't speak for Gizmo, because of the seemingly antagonistic relationship between the two of you.

    Okay.
I guess i'll just start making posts in the LCUT forum, where the 870 actually belongs.

    Thanks for the help
