    Reputation Notifications

What are the Reputation points/notifications/comments? How do you make them, what do they mean, and how can you find if you have received any? And the "Thanks" also? Can someone help with my confusion? I can't seem to find any explanation for these things. I think the "Likes" are self explanatory.

Thanks are just like likes. You simply “Thank” someone for a useful, helpful post. Very simple system.

The reputation system is a bit more complicated. There’s a “sheriff’s star” in the bottom of each post. Click on that and fill out the form.

Receiving any of the above requires nothing on your end. But, as you get more reputation points, you automatically give more. You can also give negative points to a person for a reason as well.

There are no prizes or anything for a “like” count, “thanks” count, or how many reputation points you have.

Are reputation point tied in with the green dots shown under a person's user name on a post?

I never could figure it out. Don't feel left out. If I look at my user profile it says I have three green dots, but only two show up over my Avatar picture.

It’s not a reputation comment per dot. It takes more and more to build up the next levels.

Each level has its own saying. So 5 dots is one saying, 6 is another, so on and so forth.
