    Site supporter subscription renewal

I'm a firm believer in donating to a forum like this as I get so much out of it along with some great comradery.

With that said - my point is....I just received a notice that I need to renew my subscription - in 2 days! It would sure be nice to have a little more time from the notice to the expiration. For some people $25 is a lot of money and has to be worked into the budget.

Our system is far from perfect obviously...sorry about that Stan.
But, pay when/if you can-there are no penalties and we won't report you to any major credit agencies for being late

My understanding is the the "Site Supporter" subscription helps keep the lights on and the computers runing. I feel that for the small fee, i get alot of knowledge off of here. This seems to be well run and i don't mind contributing

You get the Site Supporter title and you're supposed to be seeing less ads.

When I started out here I am pretty sure the site was owned and operated by a private party. It has since been sold off to a business that runs multiple forums like this for profit.

My point is - I had been a subscriber or donor because I believe in giving back and to help support a forum like this where I get so much help and camaraderie. Advertising pays for some of it, our sponsoring vendors pay for some of it, and subscriptions pays for some (probably the least).

Also I am adverse to any kind of advertising. The $25 fee was worth it to me to avoid ads. Might not make sense since I use an ad blocker but I feel I am helping to "keep the lights on" here. I do spend a lot of time here.....

Now that the forum is owned by a business, I guess most of the same applies.

As far as I know (and yes, have been told) that our mods get no compensation and are "regular" folks like all us members. So being a subscriber doesn't benefit them at all I guess. These guys put in many hours of work here - likely helping to monitor this place when a lot of times they could be doing something else they would rather be doing.

So I guess it comes dowm to showing my support here.

I'm in the same boat, this forum has helped me immensely, no doubt about that. I was just curious as I did a search and this was really the only thread I could find. I was a mod on a few hunting forums, this place is civil compared to them.
