Time to Update the GTT Home Page?

My shortcut always takes me to the GTT home page.

GreenTractorTalk.com - John Deere Forum & Information Site - Welcome to Green Tractor Talk - Unofficial John Deere Forum

I kind of noticed that the content is a bit on the old side, like the 2014 Secret Santa, and the giveaway contests from a couple of years ago.

Nudge/Nudge ... Maybe an update is in order? It's probably one of the places a first time visitor lands and first impressions are important (at least I think so)

I know you admins and such are busy, and it's probably not your first priority, and I'll commend all for what you do ... but ...

    There, I've said my piece.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Hiya,

We aren't even close to being "Old"

Here's a page from 1996 that still works: WashingtonPost.com: 1996: The Year in Review

And if you need a browser, this is Netscape's from 1994: Welcome to Netscape!

That being said, I'm all for not being "Stale" either so ya, could use a freshening up.

Just for the record, the forum staff doesn't have access to edit the main home page. That's handled by the folks at VS.

Leave the darn thing alone....PLEazzzzzz. It ain't freakin broken leave your hands off of it. That's the trouble with this stupid world. No one is ever satisfied with what they have, yet most who scream for change don't even know how to use what they already have. Slow down, enjoy the hard work already done by others who got you this far without any effort on your part.
Sorry for the rant. Just sick & tired of all this change crap just for the sake of change that adds nothing at all.

No wonder. Now we find that the home page for the best tractor forum on the internet is maintained by the folks at Victoria's Secret.

I'm only on the home page long enough to log it. Soon as I do it goes away on it's own.

We should be able to add content without changing anything. I could ask to get new articles posted there, or perhaps remove that central column in favor of just having the "Recent Discussions" displayed on the homepage?
