    HPX Gator Lift

I'm replacing the 12v DC motor on my 2002 HPX snow plow the gator lift (JD part# VGA10313) which I've attached a picture of is only sold by JD as a single unit ( motor/pump) for $1100-$1300 when I bought a new 12v DC motor for $150. The problem I have is that the motor and pump both have a 8mm standard slot tang shaft so there needs to be a coupler to connect the two that neither JD nor any of the 3rd party suppliers sell this coupler which is likely to cost a "nickel-98 ". Does anyone know who or how to obtain this part?

    Thanks
    Matt

Try McMaster Carr, they might have something.

If I read it correctly, the original motor had the female side of the coupler machined into the shaft where the aftermarket one doesn't.

Another thought I had is that by adding a coupler you're going to be spacing the motor away from the pump and may need to make an adapter for that as well.
