    Help with 825i fuel filter

So i am trying to replace my fuel filter as part of my annual service and the manual is leas than helpful.

It says i should disconnext the fuel pump witinf harness then run the engine till it runs out of gas. The photo is completely unhelpful in identifying which wire in the rats nest is is for the fuel pump. Any help with an actual photo is greatly appreciated.

FWIW couldn't i juSt pinch off the lines for the same effect?

Also - how in blazes are those connectors supposed to come off? I am stumped.

Lastly - how do you pop off the fuel filter from those black plastic fasteners holding it to the frame without breaking them?

    Thanks!

I have not changed the filter on my Gator yet, although I read in the manual how to do it.. The reason for disconnecting the pump wire & running the engine is the relieve the pressure in the fuel lines. If you pinch off the lines, there will still be gas under pressure in the filter. It will spray out when the lines are disconnected.

We have 6000 miles on our 2011 and haven't had to replace a filter yet. If yours is like ours, raise the passenger seat and it's the connector with the blue and black wires, down in there where the battery sits...
