    Gator 825i

    What do the gator 825i have in it for a motor. Heard of any problems?

    Folks that have been to Vietnam say that the engine sounds like all the taxi cab motors over there. The 3 cylinder engine has a very distinct sound, and I have never had a problem with mine. Powerful and reliable.

    Unfortunately, it's not for me. A friend of is thinking of upgrading. So from what I gather it is a Chinese engine. I guess that's the way the world is going, might as well embrace it.

    It's a little disappointing that they are using a Chinese built engine, but the Chery automotive engine is way ahead of the lawnmower engines they've been using for years. Massimo uses a similar but larger 1100cc Chery 4 cylinder in some of their UTVs.

    It's a fast lil machine, I enjoyed riding - but to loud for me... (more then 6000 rpm when highspeed).
