2012 Gator TE: How to disable reverse BEEP??

Have a great John Deere 2012 Gator TE electric. The only thing I hate is when I put it in reverse, the Beep is super annoying. How do I disable it?

This may seem a little simplistic, but, why don't you just unplug it?

LOL! Maybe I should have been more specific. Where is the beep disconnect located so I can disconnect it. I've checked through the owners manual provided and can't seem to locate it.

Thanks, love this machine, I have horses and a large garden this unit has made my life so much easier. Don't know how I survived so long without it

Well, I went out to JDParts and on this particular machine it only shows me the noise maker and not where it is located. Someone more knowledgeable than I will have to answer your question. It should unplug at the horn. Do you know where the horn or buzzer is? Also, just a quick reminder, the technical manual is a really good investment and will answer these questions and more.

A well placed bullet if all else fails. But I would trace the wires first.

I know the beep would drive me crazy! Fortunately, nothing I own has it, but I will be interested to know what you find out, as one never knows what purchases could be in the future, if one is lucky!

    Just in case Plan-A doesn't work out, I wanted to offer up a Plan-B and Plan-C. :-)

Contacted a dealer and they told me they can not tell me how to kill the beep for insurance reasons. They are a licensed dealer and the back up beep is there for a reason to prevent accidents.

There is no one else here on this property except my husband and I, so ridiculous. It is so loud it is deafening, and really super annoying.

Correct, a dealer can not help anyone disable safety devices on their machines. Well, if you are up to it, you need to get a technical manual for the machine. It will tell you more than you need to know. Apparently there aren't many members here with knowledge for your machine. I am surprised that you and your hubby together cannot locate the noise maker and pull its wire. One in the seat with it in reverse and the other hunting for it. Should be an easy task, unless I am missing something.
