    What ATV would you recommend?

My mother-in-law is looking for an ATV to drive around in her horse arena pole barn to groom the sand with a drag mat. Been a long time since I ever had anything to do with an ATV so I am looking for your advice.

Obviously electric start, automatic shift, what else should I consider. She prefers to have an ATV to be able to make tight turns and get close to the walls. She wants to pull a drag mat harrow around to grade and groom the sand.

You are talking ATV? Like a quad with handlebars?
Or like a UTV Gator type?

A lot of nice quads out there. If she lives near you tell her to check out that Powersports place on 33 out there. Can't remember the name off hand. On the Monroe side of 33. They have ATV and UTV's

Honda 500 , I’d get a gear shift if your going to work it hard.

Most of the major bands are pretty good machines.

Based on your needs and must haves, buy a Polaris Sportsman 500 with electric power steering. Some will say gear drive only for doing any hard work, I beg the differ. Put the Sportsman in low gear and go. The 4x4 is magnetic and is a simple switch on the handle bars. You can pick these up used for $3500.

I've got a 2002 Sportsman 500 (no PS) that has been on dedicated snowplow duty for the last 7 years of its life, original belt and it doesn't slip, the tires lose traction. Before I bought it, it was rolled down the side of a mountain, I got a great deal on it.

Second that. Have had 3 sportmans over the years and they are great machines . Many miles work and play with no problems. Currently have a 2000 and 2012 and both still going strong. Don’t get used as much since we bought the gator. Hunting mostly and kids ride them around the farm and up north. 2 buddies have newer ones with power steering and how nice they are to ride. Would buy one without power steering.

If 4 wheeler look at the Honda line

    if Side by side

    Look at the Honda line.

Love or Honda Pioneer 700 but they also make a smaller 500 just not a large rear box or dumping dump on the 500

We already have a Deere XUV, but she wants a ATV with handlebars again to get close to the walls and make tighter turns. She wants to call it hers and not have farm workers use and abuse it. The arena is not to large 40x150 I planned on going to Extreme Sports on Rt 33 in Monroe to see what they have.
