We got a start on the popcorn tonight. Didn’t expect mosquitoes but most the stalks had two ears and some had a third. Most of the second ears were decent ears as well.

Got to finally mow down the remaining broom corn. It turns at different times so we have been picking some every few days for a month. The remaining was small or blown so mowed it down. I can spray for weeds in everything else but broom corn is tougher to control them in so it gets looking bad.

    Winter Mode

Decided it was getting cool enough in the evenings to go ahead and put the doors on the gator for the fall / winter. Makes a huge difference. Certainly want to look at acoustic foam though to help out on noise in the cab. I have been putting up with the noise but maybe someone here has an idea.

Cut back all the perennials in the beds today. I couldn’t believe how much I could fit in the bed. Just a few leaves left to clean up now.

The word on the street is the cabs really make SxS 's loud inside. Even just a roof makes for a louder drive for people.

Cut and dug up all my elephant ear bulbs before this weeks low temps turn them to mush. Wife trimmed a lot of her stuff as well. Sure is nice to have a baby dump truck.
