    Best Tires?

I need a new rear tire for my 5075e (ran over the rotary cutter in the snow!) and I'm looking for suggestions on a good Ag tire for the money. It's got Goodyear's on it, but they are a little pricey. Suggestions? Here's a photo of it with my grandson learning to load the hay feeder.

I'd just get the same Goodyear one so it matches the other side, that's the OCD side of me talking.

    Tires and OCD

I'm leaning that way, but thought I should at least check out the options. Best price I've found for the Goodyear Duratorque 211's is around $755 and I've seen some other tires a lot cheaper, but I've never had to put a tire on this tractor and wanted opinions.

Cheaper is very seldom a wise choice, especially when it comes to tires.

My OCD would require me to get the same tire as well.

Good point. My son was supervising and I don't know if he did or not. I'll make sure he does in the future!

    Patch?

1.5" wide puncture through the sidewall. I don't think it's patchable. The goats will get a tire to climb on I'm afraid. It looks like I'm going with what I can get. Everyone is saying the Goodyear isn't available right now and no one has them in stock. I did find a used one online, but it will take a week to get here and I don't want the tractor out of service that long. Thanks to all for the input!

Nice pic . Looks like he is enjoying it . Keep up the good work ! Kevin . BTW , the same ( size ) tire from a different manufacturer may not be a match with the original . Put a boot and a tube in it ?

Looks like a nice kid and interested in learning about John Deere! Safety habits can last a life time. All the best to him.

When I was about 11-12 years old I desperately wanted a Honda 50 motorcycle. My mom refused but finally relented with one condition, that I ALWAYS wear a helmet whenever I was on a motorcycle. I agree and over the years I don't recall one time when I didn't put a helmet on before thinking about starting a bike, and I have had several of them over the years, some fast, others too fast.

A couple of years ago I sold my last, a BMW "Superbike"...that thing was filthy, and fun.

    Enjoy the farming and family.
