    Dental exam light mounted

So last year one of the dentist practices moved to a new office but left an exam light in the old one.
I know the guy that bought the office and went over to look at it with him and asked "What are you going to do with the light?"
He didn't know so I asked if I could have it and he said yes.
It had been sitting on the floor in the barn since then.

Well, a couple of weeks ago I finally got around to taking a look at it. The halogen bulb was burnt and one of the track roller wheels was broken (which is probably why it got left behind)
I ordered a bulb and had my son print me a new roller out of ABS.
Installed those today and finally got it mounted on the ceiling so it can roll between the mill and the work bench.

Yes, it will. They're a very tight focus though. The illumination spot is about 2" x 5" on the bench but it works really well for fine detail work (if I remember to put my glasses on)

Another good feature is if someone were to break into your shop, they might see these and decide they don't want to find out why you have them.

You could mount some additional LEDs onto the head and have several options for area illumination using the same power and track system.

If it were me, I'm not sure I'd even keep the original reflector/lamp intact; but I would be all over one of those rigs if I could get one free too.

    Nice score!
