    Tree Trimming . . .

Sitting here this evening enjoying a little Black Label . . . reflecting on the days work. This project is almost done . . . removing a very large limb from our Red Oak tree.

Yes the end of a day. I gave that up 32 years ago cause I never could have just a little! If you make a small cut under the branch first it won't strip the bark so much and break off cleaner.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm hoping that log generates a few board feet of red oak for one project or another next year.

I wouldn't leave that widow maker log up there like that. Make an under cut as suggested and cut as close to the trunk as possible. It'll look better too.

Finished this tree trim. I have some firewood for someone and a couple logs that might generate a few boards for a project in the future.
