    touched up the 855

I have been wanting to take care of the fenders and foot rests for a time now. I have plans for going over the whole tractor but I don't have the time to do it right at this point so the touch up job will at least keep the steel from pitting.

The Diamond plate step I added 15 years ago, one of the best things I did to the tractor and for myself. The mirror has been knocked off a few times, I just stick back up and weld it back on. I had one on the roof but the trees took it off so many time I gave up and lowered it to where it is now.

I've had my tractor for so long it's not for fun anymore it's for getting work done fast so I can get back in my shop which is my first love and do other things I enjoy.

The trees I didn't want have been taken down, stumps removed, buildings put in, grading is where I want it so these days the 855 mostly is used for bug spraying the buildings and weeds, mowing, spring fork work, snow removal and moving things around the place. I built a nice 55 gallon sprayer but it was always in the way, same goes for the 12 "post hole digger I just had to have and only used once so I sold the post hole digger and gave the sprayer away to my neighbor farmer..

Thanks jfoi. I put things off if I don't have the time to do a good job... I just as soon wait. This came out nice.

I want to give the diamond plate step one more coat of the spray bed liner and paint the tractors green foot boards with the spray bed liner too after the green paint dries for a few days.

I might spray the bucket with bed liner too.

My quick tach is the tractors directional pedals... after I back up and get one arm on and pinned... from the ground I push the appropiate pedal to cock the bush hog to the right or left. all the rest of the equipment I can manhandle into position quite easily.

Nice job Jim! Is that paint from a bomb or gun? Turned out well either way.

Thanks Kenny, it's a big improvement for sure. I used spray bomb paint. It's got a primer under it so it should last a good while. I painted the back of the seat green too.. but I'm going to repaint it with the spray bed liner tomorrow if the green paint has dried hard all the way through.
