    Power Wheels Dune Racer,,, Assembly,,,

Well,, the family room became the "workshop" today,,,
I wanted a Power Wheels Dune Racer for the grandkids,, I ordered it last week from Toys-R-Us

It arrived yesterday, today, I invited my 5 year old granddaughter over to build it.
She loves Legos,, this is just a big Lego set,, but,, you need a screw gun to assemble.

We cut the box open,, out popped this,,,

Anna jumped right in,, she would read the instructions,, I would help interpret.

Anna did the assembly, except for about a half dozen "difficult to align" pieces,,
    Pop-pop helped with those.

Right at 2 hours later,,, we are sitting around,, waiting for the battery to charge.

It was a fun rainy day project with my granddaughter,,,

Anna is a great mechanic,, she is not afraid to tackle anything,,
Some of the tractors include JD 4105, JD 855, JD 650,,,, and,,, the IH 584 4WD
My favorite attachment is the homemade landplane,,, EVERYONE needs one of those!!

Cool. We have Power Wheels Gator that our kids run around the acreage in. The plastic wheels are awful and have no grip at all. I had some old turf tires from a ride on mower that were about the same size. I cut the side walls out of the tires so I was just left with 2 big rubber bands. Heated them in the oven for a bit and then stretched them over the drive wheels. Worked awesome and way more traction.

Today was "Day Two" of operation,,,
Me-Me and Pop-Pop had the governor set for 2.5 MPH,,,
That was OK the first day,,, the kids did not know any better.
"Dad" came over,, he immediately unleashed the 5 MPH mode,,

Luckily,, I did not have to chase the kids around,, I bet Dad will sleep good tonight.

    The kids loved it,,, the only time they got stuck;
they drove into a mound of leaves, and "high-centered" the Dune Racer,,,

    It was another GREAT DAY,,,,

Since we have a CriCut,, custom decals will be coming,,,
Some of the tractors include JD 4105, JD 855, JD 650,,,, and,,, the IH 584 4WD
