    Artillian Diverter Leaking

I have a 2320 which I added the Artillian Diverter to for my grapple. I believe one of the female outlet connections which the grapple connects to is leaking. It could be the male connection, but it doesn't appear to be. I have never taken a coupling apart to inspect and would appreciate your help on what I need to do. I suspect I should look at both male and female connections to make sure.
    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried just tightening up the connections first?

I'm sure one of the guys that actually knows something about hydraulics will chime in soon!

Is it leaking while connected or unconnected?

If it's while unconnected, then you'll need to replace it. If it only leaks while connected, the the 0-ring can be replaced in the female.

Mark and Kenny thanks. I tried to tighten and that was fine. I then started the tractor and disconnected the couplers and within 30 seconds I had a puddle about four inches wide. The leak is coming from the female connector. Leak continued when I turned the tractor off. I reconnected to reduce the leak.

Kenny I have never done this so bear with me. Do I simply unscrew the female connector and purchase and replace? If this is the case can I pick these up at Tractor supply or JD or a hydraulic shop? When I tried to tighten it is hard to get a purchase. To disassemble would it be best to remove the hose so I can use a vise?

Thanks a ton for your help.. greg

    Greg,
Just to be clear, this is on the front bulkhead correct?
The ones JD has won't fit, they have a different thread. A hydraulic shop or TSC may have them, but it's a gamble. Not to be a salesmen...but the ones we sell are a direct replacement, they are 1/4" ISO 5675 "AG" style with a 1/4" NPT thread.

If it's in the front bulkhead, then it would be easiest to undo the band clamp, then remove the single clamp bolt, this will allow you to get access to the flats on the coupler and hose to use wrenches, a vise should not be necessary. You will need a sealer of some type, a PTFE based paste or the stuff we sell-Teflon "plumbers" tape is not recommended.

Just a quick follow-up and huge shout out for Kenny's help (Ken's Bolt On Hooks). It turned out that as Ken thought the female coupler was busted. I had problems removing the old one and Ken walked me through it Friday night as well as suggestions for the installation of the new one. He sure didn't get rich on the parts I bought, but man am I grateful for his help and wanted to pass that along
