    JD3020 Quick Connect valve stuck

I bought a JD3020 last year and am using it for a small haying operation. Haven't needed the hydraulics until now.

I noticed one of my two quick connect valves is stuck depressed (outer ring pushed back). When I turn the pin below the valve, oil comes out. But I cannot figure out a way to get the ring to pop back forward... there's nothing I can "grip" to pull it. The other side appears to be functioning fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!
    Rory

Try putting a hose with a coupler in it and working it vbqkc and forth a few times. Maybe you did but they are made to move and decouple if the implement unhooks. It might have some crap in it after 40 years and working it with some penetrating oil might help.

Behind the quick connect hose body, you will see or feel the cylinder sticking out a little bit, the other hose port will be in like it is supposed to be. You need to take something that has some weight to it, like a steel rod or a hammer and then tap the cylinder back in the quick connect hose body. There is not a whole lot of room to get much swing, that is the reason you need something pretty solid and heavy. You can plug a hose in the good side and feel with your hand, the cylinder sticking out and then unplug the hose and you can feel that the cylinder is back into the quick connect hose body. Hopefully this is some helpful info for you. Let us know what the outcome is.

i do believe it is #15 is what you’ll be tapping on.

    Welcome to GTT
If your 3020 serial # happens to be below 122,999 then the breakaway coupler will resemble photo below so you will need to push rearward on barrel(key 15) to be able to insert male tip & then turn lever under bottom so hyd pressure can flow. Similar to what raco232 posted but different view.
