    Have a 52" broom ,looking for a pic of the piece on the end of the brush assembly

    In looking at some pics, I notice I dont have that end cap with the grease fitting on the outer ends of the brush assembly . so wondering if someone has a pic of it , and Ill try and make one up..thx Pm and ill shoot an email addresss

    Sorry I am a little late seeing this post. I have a 52" Broom (bought it new out of the crate) so I looked at mine and the John Deere parts breakdown. Mine does not have end caps or grease fittings on the ends of the broom shaft either. In fact, the John Deere parts breakdown doesn't show end caps or shaft end grease fittings either.

    If you think about how the broom works, the shaft that is mounted at each end of the broom housing doesn't turn. This shaft slides through the broom itself which turns on this shaft, hence, there is no need for grease fittings at the end mounts.

    I'm not sure what this picture is from, although, the new 52" Broom mounts are not like this example in this picture. JD apparently changed design.
