    JD 3720 Loftness 84? snowblower

I? have a 07? cab 3720 Tractor. I? have found a Loftness 84? snowblower that is rate 40-100 HP. The side links are cat 2 and easy to change to cat 1. However the top link is cat 2 as well and am unsure how to convert this. I? understand I? dont have to take a 7? cut each time snowblowing. Is this too much snowblower for my 3720. The Loftness is 1500$

Can you post a picture of the top link? I'd think you could change it to CAT1 with some bushings but I can't find a good picture to look at.

Looks like a $10K blower that weighs 1500 pounds.

That's a lot of blower for a 3720 IMO. Not saying it won't do it but if it's a deep and wet snow storm and you don't blow with the storm you could have some issues.

you could change the one end of your top link to a cat. 2 end.

buy a cat 2 top link and bush down the tractor end.

agree, that's a lot of blower for your tractor.

Sorry for the poor grammar I?ll blame it on the iPhone. The Loftness snowblower is 84? (7 feet) and weighs about 970 pounds. I was surprised at the good condition and how strong it was built. I need to change the cat 2 link arm pins which will be easy enough. The top link I?m sure can be changed as well. My main concern is the size vs my machine. I wouldn?t plan on always taking 7? cuts with it, work the machine slow, and not beat it up. New it appears the blower is 6000$ now.

your JD has more horsepower than my ford 2110 and my loftness weighs in at 1500 lbs. I must blow snow in the lowest gear but the snow blower is bullet proof, have had mine for 14 years, other than lubrication, nothing has ever broke, vibrated loose, and even the paint looks brand new except where it sucks up and blows out the rocks from my driveway. Price has gone up considerable though, I paid $3000 and that included shipping, can't remember the model though.

the online manual for a 3720 says
    3 Point Hitch
    Type Category 1

Lift Capacity (24-in. behind link arms) 999 kg (2200 lb)

I tried to reply to your PM but it says you have set it to private and can't receive emails.

721s, but I was wrong on the weight , statistics 72" wide 869 lbs hp 35-120, the picture on their web site shows two sets of blades but this one only has one set.

Loftness | Standard Duty Tractor Rear-Mount Snow Blower Features

only twice have I had snow deeper than the snow blower, and it's 32" high, luckily my driveway is down hill, I had to leave the tractor in neutral, and let off the break to let me down the driveway or else the tractor would start to lose power, and both times they said 4" of snow that night.
