Backdragging with an HLA Snow Pusher...Plus Assembly!

I got in my first couple HLA 1500 snow pushers that have backdrags and couldn't wait to try them out. I've never used a backdrag and have a few areas where it would come in real handy. The 60" snow pusher has been pre-sold to a customer, so I decided to assemble the 66" and try it out with a JD 4720 I have in stock. I had them come in with a 1" thick rubber scrape edge.

The first half of the video is the backdrag assembly (semi-amusing) and the second half is the backdrag in action. If this snow won't go away, then I might as well have some fun in it!

Yeah, it worked great! I think I'm going to get a rubber scraper edge for the backdrag too and see how that works out

    Howdy,

First, I'm sorry for the slow response. I thought I had subscribed to this thread, but was mistaken.

Yes, I just signed on recently with HLA as a dealer. This was my second order, although I have had a few used HLA pushers come through as well. Let me know how I can help!

I've had an HLA 1500 60" for two seasons and find that it performs brilliantly, especially the backdrag. Like all tools it has its limitations and applications. I use mine along with an HLA 1000 66" snowblade and a 66" light duty bucket with Edge Tamers.

With these three quick-change tools I can tackle any kind of snowfall. With this last storm I was able to backdrag 1-2" of hard ice from the driveway and scraped right down to the surface.

Like all HLA products, the Snowpusher is built like a tank with excellent workmanship. Neither the 1500 60" or the 1000 66" has presented a weight/traction issue mounted on my 1025R with cab, loaded rears, and 8 suitcase weights.

I have a 66" HLA pusher that I bought last fall for use on my 1025R. It has the backdrag kit on it. I'm very pleased with how it works. It is heavy, but it and my SB1164 do a good job of offsetting each other...haven't had a need for the tire chains yet this winter.

66" on a 1025r! Wow, you don't have problems pushing with that big of a box on the front? That is a pretty good sized SB though. Hangs off the back quite a ways too. Impressive!
