    Loader brand rating

Obviously buying genuine jd loader is the way to go. But I'm look ing at a 4250 mfwd that's going to need a loader.

If genuine is not an option what's y'alls next choice?

Or if you know where a jd 280 is lemme know!

    Thanks!

    Look at Westemdorf

I've never had a Westendorf but always thought they looked like a good, solid, well engineered product.

Ditto on Westendorf. IIRC Koyker bought JD loader patent rights to build loaders

Here's some used ones...not sure what a new aftermarket cost would be comparable to these? Good luck and have fun!

The issue is that most aftermarket loaders will be about the same money as a JD one. Brands to look at are:

    Westendorf
    Quicke
    Koyker

Will be picking up the 4250 this weekend. Had a buhler loader found but they said it wouldn't work. So I'm back on the hunt. Wondering if 280 JD is the only loader to fit? Not really wanting the self leveling setup. But I guess for the money I could handle it. Anyone have any info on other models that will fit? 720 or 740 maybe?

Thanks. Here's a pic of the rig.

I love the old school MFWD JD's, and a chrome stack to boot.

We had a 265 on our old 4240.
Those and 280s will probably be well used at this point and less than tight.

A 740 should also fit with correct brackets, and be a bit easier to find.
