Fimco 3 Point 40 Gallon Sprayer

While visiting our son in North Carolina last week he took us to a store called Agri Supply https://www.agrisupply.com/farm-mach...ents/c/a10000/. WOW!!! What a store! Enormous variety of Tractor-related Attachments, among other things. I couldn’t help myself and had to buy something..... so I decided to upgrade my sprayer and o got the Fimco 3 Point 40 Gallon model and a few other things I won’t talk about in this posting. I can’t wait to put the sprayer to use.

    Sincerely

I too have a Fimco and needed to put sealant on the connections when new and again this year. Itís served me for five years so far. The pump leaked (bad) when I used it for the first time this year, and a frustrated slap with the mallet fixed the problem. Not a recommended procedure, but it worked.

Looking forward to reading of your other acquisitions.

Thanks for the feedback. My plan was to fill it with water only first and perform a test run which would hopefully uncover these problems you guys described... Also, my usual MO after use is to hose off inside and out with clear water and run clear water through everything to clean out. This practice has made my previous equipment last a very long time and remain trouble-free..... Thanks again for your feedback!

I love agri-supply. Even though I live in northern Michigan and am about as far away from a store as one can get I shop through them all the time. Their selection on cultivator sweeps and other ag related equipment is unmatched in my opinion.

The other store that has really selection of stuff is Rural King whom I also order stuff through occasionally especially if I am looking for a particular herbicide. I could get glyphosate (ie. Roundup) through them cheaper even with shipping figured than I could get it through TSC. I will admit though most of my $$ end up getting spent at TSC though because it's local.

Just finished using my 2 year old sprayer today, so I had a chance for pictures before I put it away.

After catching the ends of the boom too many times on trees and fences, I now use a couple of pieces of PVC pipe zip tied to the grille guard as"whiskers."
They remind me how wide the boom extends in back of me.

With the Fimco sprayers; how have you found the best way to attach and secure a 12 volt battery ?

Run it off a connection to the tractor.

I have the same sprayer in its second year of use now and all the little mounting bosses built into the tank have busted and it leaks like a strainer when I am spraying. Its not bad using fert or bug spray but I killed the edges and ditches last week and you can follow my every track around the yard. Disappointed with it. I also ran a harness from tractor battery and put a on/off switch at the helm for controlling the sprayer.
