Letís play name that garden tractor attachment!

    Hey all,

Need a bit of help to jog my memory. Many moons ago, I picked up This three point attachment that has provisions for suitcase weights, has a 2Ē hitch receptacle, and has removable forks, roughly 24Ē long. I was going to make a 3 pt hitch for my round fender, but with me getting my 870 home, I no longer am going to do this. This attachment was popular with the 3 and 4 series garden tractors.

For the life of me, I cannot recall what this is called, or who was a popular company that made them.

Can anyone help me out? I can shoot a couple pictures of it. There are no markings that I can see.

    Thanks for any help!

I grabbed a few pictures of the piece in question, I hate to have folks guess with my poor way of describing things.

Someone will know what the name of this is...just not me at the moment.

That sure looks like a homemade attachment that serves several purposes. I don't think you can buy one like that.

It was manufactured...unfortunately, I cannot recall who made it.

Donít know why my memory is so faulty on this.

If so I can understand why they didn't put their name on it. :-) As a DIYer I would somewhat happy with the construction if built from scraps I had laying around but for a commercially made unit it is a bit shoddy - and risky. Note the use of bent steel flats instead of actual fork tines.

It appears to be a combo 3PH trailer mover and rear pallet forks. I din't see any provision for weights and it appears you have to bolt-on the fork tines. It's hard to tell what category the 3PH pins are for.

Like I say, I can recall that it was made by a company for garden tractors, and it had a name, but it is blocked from my memory.

If I remember the premise of how it works, you flip the unit around on your three point arms, and the weights hang on the flat bar.

My terminology with the little attachments isnít good, but I believe they are limited catagory 1 pins.

I do know that these were used on many 318ís and newer garden tractors for weight in the winter. Sadly, I can recall everything it is used for, just not what it was called...
