New 54" radtech front mount snowblower arrived today

I have attached a few pictures of the new radtech blower , first impression is that it is well made , steel is 3/16" on sides and the rest is 1/8". Quality of paint looks good , just started the assembly there are lots of parts but the instruction manual is very good. When the local dealer dropped it off today I made him an offer to trade the 1026R on a new 1025r tlb so need to know which tractor the blower is going on before I can go any further . Should know tomorrow.

Yes it is completely different from the John Deere quick hitch and my understanding is that nothing else fits it . It all comes as a package complete with the electric actuator for the chute deflector.

Looks good. I hope you like it. The green sure looks better than the JD yellow, matches the tractor instead of the seat.

Does this unit have a carrier bearing similar to JD 54” unit?

Does it use the same JD drive shaft?

Does it have a chain drive off the drive shaft input? I’d be interested what the sprocket ratio is compared to JD unit for output speed.

It appears taller than JD unit.

I’m thinking it costs more than the 54” JD.......?maybe not.......

    No. Totally different design.

    No, different drive shaft

No. This unit has a gear box on the back.

The mounting system for this blower is totally unique compared to other JD from mount blower. It actually is somewhat similar to some of the Kubota front blower systems.

I thought someone said it was about $500 more than the existing 54" blower but I believe that was without the remote spout control. I also believe this unit is only sold in Canada.

That explains why I can't find any info about it here in Pa.

I hear the Deere front hitch has some play in it when stuff is hooked up. What about this one? My local dealer was telling me these were substantially better built.
