    backhoe on the front (fronthoe)

so i have a small ditch to make for a footing, has anyone ever made some sort of reversed bucket for the front similar to a backhoe bucket? I was thinking to make the attachment brackets to the loader and some sort of cross plates to connect them, then weld up a small bucket that is stationary coming forward on some arms, or something in those lines, any suggestions. I know it would have to be low to give you any sort of digging.
    Thanks

That is a lot of time/fabrication for digging one small ditch. Perhaps a rental would be the best option? Sometimes our tractor's aren't the right tool for the job.

There was one showing a nice trench/ditch that a guy dug with the fronthoe, but I can't seems to find it now.

This one probably would fit my needs better, but the other is sooo much cooler.

I have one of these and love it but I will never attempt to dig a trench with it again. It's just too slow because you have to back the tractor up and dump the small load you dig up, then line yourself back up etc. You are better off getting a ditch witch if you need a trench. I would rent a back hoe or hire someone if you need some ditches cleared. I know Chris showed a video of a small trench being dug with it but I have never had the patience for it after I tried once.

The front hoe is great for digging small holes in order to plant trees or flowers. It is also excellent for taking out stumps. When I was making my parking area bigger and clearing the spot for my shop, I used the daylights out of it.
