    GM1072 Gear Box Fluid

I checked the gear box fluid level in my new GM1070 finish mower. When I removed the plug on the side of the the gear box fluid ran out but it was light brown and foamy. Is this normal of has water got in the gear box. The mower had not been run for a couple of days.

how long has it been in there? since new? If its more than a couple years old I would go ahead and change it.

it doesn't sound like water or anything, it just sounds like its old.

GM1070 Finish Mower Gear Box Fluid

The mower is new with less than 2 hrs total time. The fluid had a lot of light brown foam come out when I removed the plug from the side of the gear box. Some liquid did run out also.

Not a huge deal in my opinion, I would just fill it with gear oil to the appropriate level and check on occasion.
