    Compatibility question

I have a JD 2210 with a 210 FEL and a Woods BH6000 backhoe. I recently purchased a used 54C belly mower for it and I'm having trouble hooking it up. 3 issues:
    1. The BH has a frame that runs all the way to the front of the tractor and hangs down below the frame of the tractor, so the mower doesn't slide under unless I jack up the tractor a bit (easy enough with the FEL) My concern is - will the BH frame also prevent me from raising the MMM deck to maximum height (or maybe at all)?
    2. The mower lift arms are not on the tractor. I want to hold off buying new ones until I know the mower will fit/work.
    3. The front hanger for the mower doesn't fit on the tractor. I can maybe bang on it a bit so the hanger part will fit, but the locking pin doesn't come anywhere close to any pin holes on my front end. Perhaps because of the beefed-up bumper for the FEL?

Please help! I spent $1,000 for this mower deck, which seems like a pretty good deal since it is in great condition. But I don't want to throw more money at it and have it still not work.

    According to here http://www.hmequipment.com/assets/pd...s-backhoes.pdf

Says it works with most undermount mowers. Shows 10.5 " ground clearance.

Dosen't leave a lot of room for a deck.

Are you sure you have the correct 54C deck? I don't think they are all the same. Can you provide the deck serial number?

I suspect you may have to call Woods about this issue.

That serial number indicates that it is the correct deck. It was made in 2010 though. The 2210s were made through 2006 if I recall correctly. So it may have different hardware on it that was not built for connection to a 2210. I *think* the 2305 used the same mounting hardware. But if that deck came from some other model you may not have the right pieces to make it work with your machine. That may explain why your front hangar issues, etc...

The 54C deck was used on the 2210, 2305, 4010, 4110 and 4115 tractors (and probably a few others...). Do you know what machine your deck came off of?

I was told it came off another 2210, but I never saw it attached.

That was a risky purchase if you never saw it mounted.

If the deck was made in 2010, then it's for something other than a 2210. I had a 2210 with a 54C. I would not beat/bang on the mounts to make it fit. I would go get the right mounts. I would start looking JD parts.com to see if you can see the differences, the mounting points on the deck may make it non-compatible. As others have suggested, I would call Woods to see if the BH and a mower deck are compatible as well.

I hope you have serviced the driveshaft. I had the pleasure of experiencing one catastrophically failing on me. That was expensive. The drive shaft alone is $800. It's the main reason I now own a 3025E now. I really liked the 2210 when I had it but it became too much of a headache and too small for my needs.

Good luck with your project. It's hard to mix/match attachments like this.
3025e, D160 loader, Artillian Grapple, Forks, Hoe Bucket, Frontier Land Plane, Rotomec PDH300, Redline Systems 54 inch rock bucket, Heavy Hitch
400 Garden Tractor, 35a Tiller, 54 inch plow, 60 inch deck
