    PTO driven generator X700 series.

Any body with a x700 series tractor ran a gen set off the pto? I have a generator that has a blown up engine and I know the engine on it is probably a 2k rpm engine and the rear is 540. I didnt know if anybody has ran the mid pto to the front for the genorator or not... if ya have let's see some ideas. Or off the rear pto...

A 2000 RPM generator would be unusual. The bigger diesel units usually run at 1800 RPM and the portable gas models are almost all 3600 RPM units.

I've seen pics of guy's doing their own on the front with old 140s and on 318s ad 420s but haven't seen one on a X700 yet. If you wanted to roll your own I'm sure someone makes a gear box that would work. There are lots of 540 RPM to 3600 RPM gear boxes out there but it might take a bit more work to find other gearing.
