Need help identifying what I think is a JD weight Bracket?

    Hi Guys
I need help identifying what I think is a JD weight Bracket? I would like to know what tractors it is used on & etc. I added a 42lb suitcase weight of my own to see what it looked like. I bought a pallet of used JD items, and this is one of the items.

If it is a Deere item there will likely be a model number stamped into the bracket somewhere.

I *THINK* what you've got is part # BM20779 which is a rear "Click 'n Go" weight bracket for the old 425/445/455 and X-series garden tractors. There should be a long rod with hitch pins at both ends that goes with it.

Here's the same bracket up for sale on EBay:

There's someone interested in buying one of those over on MTF if you're interested in selling.
