246 Broom Mod to Fit 1025r

Anyone know of an easy way to mod a 246 Broom to work on a 1025r? Found one for sale for $400. Brushes are needing replaced, but it looks like it is in decent condition. Has the hydraulic angle cylinder included. Just not sure how I could mount it up to the 1025r. I don't have the front hydraulic for broom/plow.

The hydraulics are the easy part. You'd have to take your loader off to use the broom so you can use your loader SCV to control the broom angle cylinder. That's the same thing I do with my 54" plow.

The big question is "Which mounting system does it have on it?". That appears to have been sold with several mounting options. There was a unique mounting bracket for the 300-series garden tractors, a 655/755/855 series mount and the modern Quick-attach hitch system. If it has the Quick-Attach then it should be an easy hook-up.

I am not sure what the mount is exactly. I didn't have my phone charged to where I could take a picture. But it had two straight steel arms that stuck out and a couple of small chains that looked like it slid into a receiver of sorts.

If you have two steel arms and chains I am betting it is off of F series unit. Your going to do a lot of fab to get it to hitch to the front mount hitch set up. I also think that your drive shaft will be way out of alignment as well

I kinda figured. I had a reality check today when I realized I don't own a torch, welder, or plasma cutter. So probably not going g to work out. Dang, it is a good price too.

Yeah. I noticed though there may be a quick hitch available to allow it to work on the 1000 series. Hard to tell from a phone, but I may need to do some more research. Another option would be to hook up to a Honda Generator and just make some sort of mount for the H120 quick attach bucket.
